AquaAction expands to the United States doubling its Impact on climate adaptation and freshwater protection with its innovative programs
Montréal, June 13th- Water is a finite resource that is threatened by pollution, climate change, our routines, and the industrial sector. AquaAction finds solutions to turn the situation around. This expansion into the US is an opportunity for young American innovators to join in the movement for climate adaptation and freshwater preservation, especially around the critical Great Lakes region.
“AquaAction’s expansion into the United States represents a significant milestone in our journey to leverage water tech innovation for climate adaptation and resilience. Our organization is dedicated to engaging youth in driving the change we desperately need,” Soula Chronopoulos, President of AquaAction. “Through our programs and collaborative initiatives, we aim to create a lasting positive impact on climate adaptation in freshwater conservation and restoration, scaling our efforts by expanding to the United States and partnering with like-minded organizations.”
Since 2015, over 50 successful water-tech companies have emerged from AquaAction’s programs, creating 100 water jobs and generating $100M to regional economies. In this last year alone, the number of young innovators seeking to launch water tech solutions has tripled.
