From Drop to Wave: Celebrating 10 Years of AquaAction

AquaAction has come a long way in its first ten years!

• Supported more than 150 companies
• Launched more than 760 pilot projects
• Secured new public and private contracts worth $50M that have generated more than $260M in revenues
• Saved a lot of water: the equivalent of more than 140,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools!
• Expanded to the U.S. as a registered nonprofit with an office in Detroit, Michigan.

“From Drop to Wave” was a special evening of connection and reflection, highlighting the collective achievements, partnerships and innovations that shaped AquaAction's first decade.

The event brought together those who have been with us since the beginning, as well as those who joined us along the way, and those who are excited about our work. Partners, supporters, competition judges, former staffers, AquaHacking and AquaEntrepreneur alumni and the AquaNation assembled to look back on a decade of achievements, reconnect with familiar faces, and raise a glass to the next chapter.

AquaAction has been successful in empowering young leaders to generate solutions to the freshwater crisis, but there is a lot more to do, in the next decade and beyond.

At the same time as we celebrated a milestone, we also launched the Giving Circle, a new community of supporters committed to advancing freshwater innovation through regular monthly donations. These contributions help support entrepreneurs, future water leaders and real-world water solutions.

AquaAction has always been successful at bringing people together around a shared mission: protecting and preserving our freshwater resources. Part of the beauty of AquaAction is that those who have benefited from the program in the past are always eager to help create opportunities for those who come next, to keep creating that next wave of entrepreneurs, and keep growing momentum for this important movement.
